To the pilots that I met on Friday…

This message goes out to the three pilots that I met last Friday (3.26.2021) after a quick end-of-day flight.  I understand that you were told that it was okay to land in the Tennessee Tree Toppers landing field, even though you are not club members and you launched from SVS/Flying Camp.  It is unfortunate that you were put in the middle of this situation and given this misinformation.  At this time, our chapter is not adequately insured for any flights coming from SVS/Flying Camp and therefore we do not permit these flights.  It is usually expected that when flying any other sites, that you sign a waiver and join that club prior to making your first flight, as well as following their regulations.  For the pilot who was still a student, please be aware that we have a minimum requirement of a P2 rating with a site introduction before flying our sites. If you would like to join our club and have access to our facilities, please go to TTT Membership and follow the instructions to fill out the online waiver and join the Tennessee Tree Toppers.  Please be advised that as part of the waiver, you are required to follow our regulations, which can be found at TTT Flight Regulatory Program. If you have any questions regarding the process, please email us at Membership Committee.
